What is Acura SH-AWD®?
SH-AWD®, or Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™, is the all-wheel drive system that boosts the performance and provides smoother handling for your Richmond Hill commute by distributing weight evenly, giving you better traction, and using driver input to better your performance. This system also:
- Determines the power distribution between the front and rear wheels based on wheel speed, angle, and yaw rate.
- Improves fuel economy by sending up to 90% of power to the front wheels when cruising down a straight road.
- Shifts weight towards the rear wheels when accelerating to help drivers gain more traction.
- Sends 70% of torque to the rear wheels and applies it exclusively to the outside wheel as weight is shifted when accelerating on a curve.
- Increases stability by revolving the outside rear wheel faster than the others to help the vehicle through a turn.
What does all of this mean for your ride quality?
